Chateau Musar White 2018 is a distinctive Lebanese white wine made from 60% Obaideh and 40% Merwah. The vines grow in the foothills of the Anti-Lebanon Mountains at an altitude of approximately 1,300 metres and were between 50 and 90 years old at the time of harvest. The Merwah grapes were picked on 18 September, followed by the Obaideh grapes on 22 September. After pressing and settling, both grape varieties fermented for nine months in new French oak barrels. The two components were blended in spring 2019, cold-stabilised and bottled during the summer of the same year. In the glass, the wine displays a clear, delicate lemon-gold colour. The bouquet combines aromas of lemon and lime with oregano and a subtle hint of pine. On the palate, it is lively and citrus-driven, with notes of pear, apple and fresh Mediterranean herbs. Its structure is youthful yet complex, leading to a long and aromatic finish.
