Riesling DOC
The DOC 2024 Riesling from Weingut Pacherhof impresses with its bright straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The bouquet has an intense aroma of citrus fruits, green apples and a hint of peach, accompanied by floral notes and mineral freshness. On the palate, the wine is lively and complex, with a harmonious balance between racy acidity and elegant fruitiness. The finish is long-lasting and characterized by fine minerality.
This Riesling is made exclusively from the grape variety of the same name. Riesling is known for its high acidity and ability to reflect the characteristics of the terroir. Especially in cooler wine-growing regions, such as the Eisack Valley, Riesling develops a particular finesse and complexity.
A special characteristic of Riesling DOC 2024 from Pacherhof is its minerality, which is due to the region's soils. The vineyards are located on sandy and loamy soils with a high percentage of quartz phyllite, which gives the wine its distinctive note. The growing system of the vines is traditionally carried out using the Guyot method, which ensures optimal ventilation and sunlight for the grapes.
