Weingut Kiemberger: Hauptstraße 21, 39018 Terlan (IT)
The Terlaner Classico DOC Kalk & Keller 2023 from Kiemberger Estate originates from the Terlan area, known for its mineral-driven white wines. The vineyards are located on calcareous soils, which give the wine its precise and elegant character. The combination of alpine climate and warmer influences ensures freshness and a well-defined structure.
The blend consists of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Müller-Thurgau and Riesling. This combination is typical of the Terlaner style, bringing together structure, aromatics and freshness. Chardonnay provides body, Sauvignon Blanc adds aromatic lift, Müller-Thurgau contributes lightness, and Riesling enhances tension and minerality.
Vinification is carried out gently with temperature-controlled fermentation and ageing aimed at preserving freshness and precision.
In the glass, it shows a pale straw yellow colour. The nose reveals notes of citrus and green apple, accompanied by floral and lightly spicy nuances. On the palate, it is fresh, lively and balanced, with fine minerality and an elegant, clean finish.
