The Chianti Classico DOCG Brolio Bettino 2022 by Barone Ricasoli is a modern interpretation deeply rooted in the tradition of Chianti Classico. This wine pays tribute to Bettino Ricasoli, a key figure in the history of Chianti and one of the most influential personalities in shaping this great Tuscan wine style. It is made entirely from Sangiovese, the flagship grape variety of Chianti Classico, which expresses remarkable elegance, freshness and structure on the calcareous and galestro-rich soils around Gaiole in Chianti. In this historic core area, Sangiovese produces wines with fine texture, precise fruit and excellent ageing potential.

The grapes are harvested in mid-September and traditionally vinified in small stainless-steel vats, with a skin contact period of around 14–16 days. The wine is then aged for approximately nine months in tonneaux, creating a refined balance between structure and finesse. In the glass, it shows an intense ruby red colour. The bouquet opens with violet, iris and ripe red fruit, accompanied by elegant balsamic and spicy nuances. On the palate, it is harmonious and refined, with silky tannins, mineral freshness and a long, precise finish that beautifully highlights the class of Sangiovese.
