The Pinot Noir DOC 2025 from Peter Zemmer is a classic South Tyrolean red wine from vineyards around Mazon, one of the most suitable areas for this grape variety. The hills are characterized by calcareous, clay and porphyry soils, along with a balanced microclimate, providing ideal conditions for producing elegant and expressive wines. After harvest, the grapes are destemmed and fermented at controlled temperatures. During fermentation, the must remains in contact with the skins to extract color, structure and aromas. Part of the wine is aged in large wooden casks and used barriques, while the rest is matured in stainless steel. This combination results in a balanced wine with fine structure and clear fruit expression. Pinot Noir is one of the most elegant red grape varieties, known for its finesse, freshness and complexity. In the glass, it shows a color ranging from ruby to garnet red. On the nose, aromas of ripe red berries and cherry emerge. On the palate, it is harmonious, velvety and medium-bodied, with defined fruit, soft structure and a balanced, persistent finish.
