The Appia Antica 400 Bianco 2025 from Tenuta Principe Alberico is an organic Lazio IGT made from Sémillon and Malvasia Puntinata. The blend combines the structure of Sémillon with a proportion of Malvasia, which contributes floral and fruity nuances. The vineyards are located in the Roman countryside on volcanic soils, giving the estate’s wines a distinctive mineral character. In these conditions, Sémillon can express freshness, structure and tension, while Malvasia adds aromatic lift and finesse. The result is an elegant and individual white wine that brings together an international grape variety with one of Lazio’s traditional varieties.
In the glass, it shows a light straw-yellow colour with greenish reflections. The nose offers citrus fruit, yellow peach and delicate floral notes, complemented by a subtle mineral character. On the palate, it is dry, fresh and linear, with good savoury intensity and a clear mineral drive. The finish is clean and marked by citrus notes.
