The Vistamare IGP Bianco 2025 by Ca' Marcanda is produced in the coastal vineyards of Bolgheri, where the Mediterranean climate and proximity to the Tyrrhenian Sea create ideal conditions for aromatic white wines. The vines grow on sun-exposed hills, cooled by sea breezes – a key factor for preserving freshness and balance in the wine. The wine is typically based on a blend of Vermentino and Viognier, sometimes complemented by Fiano. Vermentino is traditionally rooted along the Tuscan coast and contributes saline freshness and a clear maritime character. Viognier, originally from the Rhône Valley, shows a particularly ripe and Mediterranean expression in Bolgheri, adding more body and aromatic depth. In the glass, it appears pale straw yellow with greenish reflections. On the nose, yellow fruits such as peach and apricot are combined with citrus notes, Mediterranean herbs, and subtle saline hints. On the palate, the wine is fresh yet rounded, with good structure, lively acidity, and a mineral-driven, long-lasting finish.
