Illivio DOC 2024 by Livio Felluga is a refined white blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco and Picolit. Originally created to celebrate Livio Felluga’s 85th birthday, it has become one of the flagship white wines of this historic family estate in Friuli Venezia Giulia. The grapes are sourced from selected vineyards in the Colli Orientali del Friuli, where the region’s characteristic marl and sandstone soils provide ideal conditions for producing elegant and age-worthy white wines.
The three grape varieties complement each other beautifully: Chardonnay contributes structure and richness, Pinot Bianco brings freshness and elegance, while Picolit adds complexity and aromatic depth. Careful vinification and ageing on the fine lees result in a wine with remarkable balance, character and sophistication.
In the glass, it displays a bright straw-yellow colour with golden reflections. The bouquet reveals aromas of ripe yellow fruit, citrus and white flowers, complemented by delicate hints of honey and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, it is full-bodied and harmonious, with precise fruit, elegant minerality and a long, refined finish.
