The Kettmeir Brut Rosé Classico DOC Athesis 2023 is an elegant sparkling wine from South Tyrol, crafted by the historic winery Kettmeir within the Alto Adige DOC appellation. The name “Athesis” refers to the ancient Latin name of the Adige River, highlighting the wine’s strong territorial identity.
Produced using the traditional Metodo Classico with secondary fermentation in the bottle, it develops a fine and persistent mousse. It is made predominantly from Pinot Noir, which provides its delicate salmon-pink hue, structure and refined red berry aromas. South Tyrol’s cool climate and significant day-night temperature shifts ensure freshness, precise acidity and aromatic clarity.
The 2023 vintage stands out for its balance and lively character.
On the nose, aromas of raspberry, wild strawberry and red currant are complemented by subtle yeast notes; on the palate it is fresh, harmonious and finely sparkling, with vibrant acidity and a clean, persistent finish.
