Tiefenbrunner – Castel Turmhof is located in Niclara near Kurtatsch, in South Tyrol’s southern wine region. It is one of the oldest wineries in the area, with winegrowing documented as far back as 1675. The Tiefenbrunner family has been running the estate for generations, combining tradition with precision. The centerpiece is the historic Castel Turmhof, a medieval manor surrounded by vineyards ranging from 250 to 1,000 meters above sea level.
The estate cultivates vines in diverse locations – from the warm valley floor to cooler hillside sites – enabling a wide range of varietals. The portfolio includes fresh, aromatic white wines such as Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon, and Chardonnay, as well as elegant reds like Lagrein and Pinot Noir.
The winery follows a sustainable approach, using selective harvesting and careful cellar work to preserve purity and terroir. The wines show alpine freshness, finesse, and aging potential, representing the depth and identity of the Tiefenbrunner philosophy.
