The Pinot Noir DOC 2025 from Muri-Gries Winery is an elegant red wine from South Tyrol, reflecting the refined and precise style of this demanding grape variety. The grapes are sourced from vineyards around Appiano, Caldaro, and Bolzano at around 400 meters above sea level, where the alpine climate with cool nights enhances freshness and aromatic clarity. The wine is traditionally aged in large wooden casks, supporting structure and balance without overpowering the fruit. Pinot Noir is one of the most delicate and complex grape varieties and finds ideal conditions in South Tyrol. The altitude and temperature variations allow for a particularly elegant expression with fine acidity and precise fruit character. In the glass, it shows a bright ruby red color. On the nose, it reveals aromas of ripe cherry, red berries and delicate spice, accompanied by subtle herbal notes. On the palate, it is juicy and structured, with lively acidity, fine tannins and an elegant finish with a slight spicy touch.
