The Chardonnay DOC 2025 from Muri-Gries Winery is an elegant white wine from South Tyrol, vinified without the use of oak to highlight a particularly pure and precise style. The grapes are sourced from vineyards around Appiano at altitudes of 420 to 500 meters, where alpine climate and calcareous soils promote freshness and aromatic complexity. Vinification takes place exclusively in stainless steel tanks, preserving the purity of fruit and varietal character. Chardonnay is one of the most important international grape varieties in South Tyrol, where it develops a fresher and more mineral-driven style compared to warmer regions. The altitude contributes to a precise acidity and refined balance. In the glass, it shows an intense straw yellow color with greenish reflections. On the nose, it reveals fruity aromas of banana and citrus, accompanied by subtle hints of hay. On the palate, it is full and harmonious, juicy and clear, with a mineral structure and a long, fresh finish.
