The Gewürztraminer DOC 2025 from Muri-Gries Winery is an expressive white wine from South Tyrol, reflecting the aromatic intensity of this traditional grape variety. The grapes are sourced from vineyards around Appiano, Caldaro, and Bolzano at around 400 meters above sea level, where warm days and cool nights promote complex aromatic development. Vinification takes place exclusively in stainless steel tanks, preserving varietal purity and aromatic clarity. Gewürztraminer originates in South Tyrol, particularly around the village of Tramin, and is one of the region’s most distinctive grape varieties. It is known for its intense aromatic profile and is traditionally vinified in a dry style here, maintaining elegance and precision. In the glass, it shows a light golden yellow color. On the nose, it reveals typical aromas of rose petals and cloves, accompanied by a delicate, slightly smoky note. On the palate, it is elegant and full, with good structure, aromatic depth, and a harmonious finish.
