The Vermentino Masso Vivo IGT 2025 by Marchesi Frescobaldi is a lively, Mediterranean-inspired white wine from the renowned Tenuta Ammiraglia, part of the Frescobaldi family, in Tuscany. Made entirely from Vermentino, a grape variety that thrives in the Maremma, the wine benefits from warm days and cool nights that promote balanced ripening while preserving freshness and aromatic intensity. The vineyards are located on well-ventilated slopes with mineral-rich, partly calcareous soils, lending the wine a subtle mineral character and vibrant freshness. Following careful hand harvesting, fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with no oak ageing, in order to highlight the grape’s pure varietal expression and crisp profile. This precise approach faithfully reflects the sunny terroir of the Maremma. In the glass, the 2025 vintage shows a bright straw-yellow colour with delicate green highlights. On the nose, it reveals a layered bouquet of citrus fruits, white peach and exotic hints, complemented by Mediterranean herbal notes and fine minerality. On the palate, the Vermentino is lively and fresh, with clean fruit, well-integrated acidity and a long, clean finish that harmoniously balances freshness and structure.
