The Kerner DOC Luxs 2025 from Niklaserhof combines Alpine freshness, aromatic precision and the distinctive character of the Eisack Valley. The grapes are grown in high-altitude vineyards around Neustift near Vahrn, where sunny days and cool nights create ideal conditions for slow ripening. The elevation and mineral-rich soils give the wine tension, clarity and remarkable freshness. Careful vinification preserves the grape variety’s expressive aromatic profile with precision.

Kerner is one of the grape varieties that thrives particularly well in the Eisack Valley. This crossing of Trollinger and Riesling benefits from the region’s strong day-to-night temperature differences, helping to preserve vibrant fruit aromas and lively acidity. In this Alpine valley, Kerner often develops a particularly refined mineral character and crisp freshness, making it one of the region’s most important white grape varieties. In the glass, the wine shows a bright straw yellow with green reflections. The bouquet reveals aromas of peach, apricot and delicate muscat notes, accompanied by citrus nuances. On the palate, it is fresh and lively, with clear fruit, fine minerality and a harmonious, persistent finish.
