Weingut Franz Haas: Via Villa 6, 39040 Montagna (BZ), Italien
The Manna IGT 2024 by Franz Haas is a distinctive white blend from South Tyrol, crafted to highlight complexity and aging potential. The grapes come from multiple vineyard sites between 350 and 800 meters above sea level, featuring diverse soils such as dolomite, porphyry, and sand, which contribute to the wine’s layered character. Each variety is harvested and vinified separately according to its ripening time, then carefully blended into a balanced composition.
The cuvée combines Riesling, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, Sauvignon Blanc, and Kerner. In South Tyrol’s alpine climate, Riesling provides vibrant acidity and longevity, while Gewürztraminer adds aromatic richness. Chardonnay contributes structure and body, and Kerner—well suited to high-altitude vineyards—enhances freshness and subtle spice.
In the glass, the wine shows a bright golden yellow color. The bouquet reveals complex notes of elderflower, pistachio, and delicate floral hints. On the palate, it is elegant and multi-layered, with a smooth texture, mineral backbone, and lively freshness that supports depth and persistence.
