The Pinot Blanc DOC Mediaevum 2025 from Gumphof comes from the steep vineyards at the foot of the Schlern massif in the southern Valle Isarco. The vines grow at elevations between 400 and 500 meters above sea level on sandy, gravel-rich moraine soils that contribute to the wine’s distinctive minerality. The combination of sunny slopes and cool Alpine nights allows the grapes to ripen slowly while preserving their freshness and elegance. After careful harvesting, the wine is gently vinified and aged for around six months, maintaining the purity of the fruit and the refined structure typical of Weissburgunder. 


The name “Mediaevum” represents a wine that faithfully expresses its terroir while offering balance and character. In the glass, it displays a pale straw-yellow color with delicate greenish reflections. The bouquet reveals aromas of ripe pear, yellow apple, and subtle floral notes, complemented by a fine mineral nuance. On the palate, it is dry, harmonious, and lively, with fresh acidity, an elegant structure, and a long, well-balanced finish.
