The Nama DOC 2022 from Nals Margreid Winery is among South Tyrol’s most exclusive white wines, produced in a highly limited release of fewer than 2,000 bottles. The grapes come from a small 1.5-hectare vineyard in Margreid, where old vines are deeply rooted in mineral-rich soils. The combination of ideal sun exposure, Alpine temperature swings and naturally low yields gives this Chardonnay remarkable concentration, precision and impressive ageing potential. After fermentation, the wine matures for many months in small oak barrels and continues ageing on fine lees, adding depth and complexity.

Chardonnay is one of the grape varieties that performs exceptionally well in South Tyrol. In the warmer sites along the South Tyrolean Wine Road, it develops an outstanding balance between ripeness, freshness and mineral tension. The interaction between Alpine climate and limestone-rich soils creates a wine with elegance, structure and distinctive character. In the glass, Nama 2022 shines in an intense straw yellow with golden reflections. The bouquet reveals layers of ripe yellow fruit, delicate citrus nuances, subtle spice and mineral depth. On the palate, it is powerful yet refined, offering a creamy texture, vibrant freshness and a long, elegant finish.
