The Chardonnay IGT 2023 from Monteverro Winery is an exceptional white wine from Tuscany's Maremma region. The vineyards are located near Capalbio, not far from the Tyrrhenian coast. Here, limestone and clay-rich soils combine with cooling sea breezes, creating distinctive growing conditions for Chardonnay grapes. The result is an expressive white wine that combines Mediterranean richness with elegant freshness.

The grapes are carefully harvested by hand and vinified separately according to vineyard plot. Following gentle whole-bunch pressing, natural fermentation takes place. The wine then matures for 14 months on its fine lees, with half aged in French oak barriques and the other half in egg-shaped concrete vessels. This meticulous ageing process encourages the development of complex aromas and gives the wine a smooth, harmonious structure.

In the glass, the Chardonnay displays a brilliant greenish-yellow colour. Its complex bouquet combines aromas of pear with delicate notes of sea salt, fine wood and dried white rose petals. On the palate, it is juicy, lively and elegant, with pronounced salinity, harmonious freshness and a remarkably long finish.
