The Custoza Superiore DOC Amedeo 2024 from Cavalchina is an elegant white wine from Veneto, distinguished by its aromatic complexity and remarkable depth. This refined blend combines Garganega, Fernanda, Trebbianello and Trebbiano Toscano. Its name pays tribute to Prince Amedeo of Savoy, who was wounded during the Battle of Custoza in 1866. The grapes come from south-facing vineyards situated on limestone-rich moraine soils. Each grape variety is vinified separately to preserve its individual characteristics before being combined into the final blend. Careful winemaking and ageing on the fine lees give Amedeo its distinctive structure and promising ageing potential.
