The Chardonnay IGT Selva della Tesa 2021 from Ca' del Bosco is an elegant white wine from Lombardy, distinguished by its remarkable depth, finesse and harmonious structure. Made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, it comes from carefully selected vineyards in Franciacorta. Since the 2019 vintage, the wine has carried the name Selva della Tesa, reflecting the vineyard from which it originally took its identity. During vinification, the grapes are harvested by hand, carefully selected and washed before gentle pressing. Fermentation takes place in small oak barrels, followed by nine months of ageing on the lees. Regular stirring of the fine lees adds complexity and a smooth texture. Several additional years of bottle ageing complete the wine's development. In the glass, it displays a brilliant straw-yellow colour with golden reflections. The complex bouquet combines ripe pear, citrus fruits and exotic nuances with delicate hints of vanilla and hazelnut. On the palate, it is full-bodied and elegant, offering a creamy texture, lively freshness and harmonious minerality. A long, well-balanced finish completes the tasting experience.
