Viognier
Viognier is a white grape variety that originally comes from the northern Rhône Valley in France. It has a rich, oily flavor profile and offers aromas of mandarin, peach, mango, honeysuckle and rose. Viognier wines are often full-bodied and, like Chardonnay, can be aged in oak barrels to add complexity. These wines are generally dry, have low acidity and an alcohol content of 13.5— 15%. Viognier is grown all over the world, particularly in France, the USA and Italy. The grape variety is known for its intense aromas and growing challenges.
