Merlot Riserva DOC Kreßfeld 2018 from Kornell is an exquisite wine that is characterized by its depth and complexity. It is presented in a dark ruby red. The bouquet is complex and offers aromas of ripe plum and cherry jam, complemented by spicy notes of chocolate, mint and tobacco, as well as elegant roasted aromas and surprising freshness. On the palate, the wine impresses with a harmonious balance of elegance and structure, refined, soft tannins and a velvety fullness that results in a long, convincing finish.
This wine is made from 100% Merlot grape, which is known for its soft tannins and fruity aromas. Merlot produces wines that are both accessible and complex, and is appreciated all over the world.
The special feature of Kressfeld Merlot lies in its long aging period. The wine is first aged in barriques for 12 months and then in the bottle for a further 24 months.
