The Erah DOC 2021 by Haderburg is an expressive red blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Haderburg has cultivated its vineyards according to certified organic principles for many years, and this organic wine reflects the authentic character of the South Tyrolean Lowlands. The vineyards are located around Kurtatsch and Tramin on clay and limestone soils, where warm days and cool nights allow the grapes to ripen slowly and develop remarkable complexity. After temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel, the wine matures for around 24 months in French oak barriques, gaining depth, structure and elegance. With its powerful yet balanced style, this cuvée pairs beautifully with braised beef, game dishes and mature hard cheeses. The harmonious combination of ripe fruit, refined spice and well-integrated oak gives the wine impressive character and excellent ageing potential. In the glass, it displays a deep ruby-red colour. The bouquet reveals aromas of ripe plum, dark berries, cocoa and vanilla, complemented by delicate herbal notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied and well structured, with ripe tannins, fresh acidity, elegant spice and a long, persistent finish.
