The Gewürztraminer DOC vom Lehm 2025 from Castelfeder elegantly showcases the distinctive aromatic character of this historic South Tyrolean grape variety. The grapes are sourced from selected vineyards with clay-rich soils around Tramin and the southern part of South Tyrol, where the mild climate and significant day-to-night temperature variations encourage slow and complete ripening. Following gentle processing, the must undergoes temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, preserving both its intense aromatics and varietal freshness. The result is a harmonious white wine with remarkable expression and elegance. In the glass, the wine displays a bright straw-yellow color with golden reflections. The bouquet reveals aromas of rose petals, lychee, and exotic fruits, complemented by delicate spicy nuances and a subtle hint of nutmeg. On the palate, it is full-bodied and well-balanced, featuring pleasant freshness, an elegant structure, and long aromatic persistence. The harmonious finish highlights the unmistakable character of this South Tyrolean specialty.
