The Bourgogne Côte d’Or Pinot Noir 2024 from Pierre Morey is made exclusively from Pinot Noir. The grapes come from several parcels within the commune of Meursault, mainly located north of the village towards Volnay. These include Au Village, Les Dressoles, Les Belles Côtes and En Vaux. The total vineyard area dedicated to this wine is 0.92 hectares. All vineyards of Domaine Pierre Morey are farmed according to biodynamic principles. After hand harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and lightly crushed. This is followed by maceration and spontaneous fermentation in wooden vats.


The wine then matures for twelve months in traditional Burgundy oak pièces, followed by a further four months in stainless steel tanks. This restrained approach to vinification keeps the fruit and the character of Pinot Noir at the forefront. In the glass, the wine shows a red colour. The nose is primarily fruit-driven and refined, with the elegant aromatic character typical of Pinot Noir. On the palate, it is soft, fresh and balanced, with clear fruit, a delicate structure and a pleasantly lively, harmonious finish.
