The Glimmer Cuvée Juval 2024 from Weingut Unterortl is a fresh white cuvée from the Vinschgau Valley, shaped by its cool high-altitude location at the entrance to the Schnalstal Valley. Müller-Thurgau and Johanniter grow at an average altitude of 800 metres, with a south-eastern exposure towards the Schnalstal Valley. The wind from the valley creates a fresh microclimate, while sandy, permeable soils support the wine’s linear character. The varieties are vinified separately and then blended into the cuvée. Both components remain on the fine lees in stainless steel for six months, preserving the wine’s clear, lively style and fine structure.
In the glass, Glimmer appears bright and fresh. On the nose, yellow fruit, citrus notes and floral hints come together. On the palate, it is aromatic, lively and mineral, with a clean expression and refreshing drinkability. A precise and enjoyable alpine white wine that harmoniously combines freshness, fragrance and fine structure.
