The Pinot Blanc DOC Acapella 2023 is one of the flagship white wines of Klosterhof Winery in Caldaro. The grapes originate from the Trifall and Bareit vineyard sites at around 400 metres above sea level, where fossil-rich calcareous soils and a favourable microclimate provide ideal conditions for this variety. The vineyards are carefully managed and include vines that are more than 60 years old, contributing additional depth and character to the wine. Following selective harvesting, the wine ferments and matures on its lees for ten months in French oak and local acacia tonneaux, gaining structure, complexity and elegance.
The name Acapella comes from the noble Acapella rose that grows at the beginning of the Pinot Blanc vineyard rows. Its distinctive blossom and fruity fragrance inspired the name of the wine.
In the glass, it is fresh and bright. The bouquet reveals notes of apple and pear accompanied by subtle minerality. On the palate, it is juicy, balanced and elegant, with lively acidity, precise fruit expression and a long, harmonious finish.
