The Rosso di Montalcino DOC 2023 by Corte Pavone is an elegant organic and biodynamic red wine from the heart of Tuscany, sourced from the estate’s high-altitude vineyards around Montalcino. Corte Pavone, part of Loacker Estates, follows organic and biodynamic principles with a strong focus on sustainability and precise terroir expression. The 2023 vintage is especially approachable while retaining the depth typical of the appellation. The wine is made from 100% Sangiovese, the defining grape of Montalcino. In this area, Sangiovese develops refined structure, vibrant acidity, and an elegant balance between fruit and spice. In Rosso di Montalcino, it usually shows a fresher and more immediately accessible style than Brunello, while still remaining clearly terroir-driven. In the glass, it displays an intense ruby red colour. The nose reveals red cherry, wild berries, and violet, accompanied by delicate spicy notes and light toasted nuances. On the palate, the wine is juicy, harmonious, and elegant, with ripe tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, finely spiced finish.
