The Gewürztraminer DOC 2025 from Taschlerhof comes from the Eisack Valley near Brixen, where Peter Wachtler produces characterful white wines on steep, sunny vineyards. Taschlerhof cultivates 5.5 hectares of southeast-facing vineyards at 530 to 730 metres above sea level; work in the vineyards is strongly shaped by careful manual labour. Once a grape-growing estate supplying other producers, it developed from 2000 onwards into an independent winery with its own vinification and marketing. The wine is made from 100% Gewürztraminer. Harvest usually takes place at the beginning of October, followed by controlled fermentation in stainless steel. The young wine then matures 30% in large wooden barrels and 70% in stainless steel. 
In the glass, it shows a light to straw-yellow colour. On the nose, it is highly aromatic, delicately spicy and floral. On the palate, it is dry, intense and full-bodied, with a pronounced finish and clear aromatic presence. It pairs especially well with cheese, starters, asparagus, grilled fish, shellfish, Asian cuisine or as an aperitif.
