The Gewürztraminer DOC Aimè 2025 from Girlan Winery is a tribute to the village of Tramin, widely regarded as the birthplace of this grape variety. The grapes are sourced from warm and sunny vineyards along the eastern side of the South Tyrolean Wine Road at elevations between 280 and 350 metres, where light soils encourage outstanding aromatic expression. After careful hand harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed and fermented under temperature-controlled conditions in stainless steel tanks. The wine then matures on its fine lees for six months without undergoing malolactic fermentation, preserving its freshness and varietal character. In the glass, it displays an intense straw-yellow colour. The bouquet is rich and expressive, offering elegant floral aromas alongside notes of exotic fruit that highlight the typical character of Gewürztraminer. On the palate, it is soft, full-bodied and juicy while remaining harmonious and vibrant. The balance between aromatic intensity and freshness leads to a long and refined finish, giving this South Tyrolean white wine remarkable elegance.
