The Passito IGT Canthus Cornell 2024 from Schreckbichl is a distinctive sweet wine made from Petit Manseng. The grapes come from selected vineyards in South Tyrol and are known for their small berries and their remarkable ability to retain freshness even when harvested late. After picking, the grapes undergo a careful drying process, allowing sugars, aromas and extract to become naturally concentrated. The combination of Alpine climate, sunny days and cool nights provides ideal conditions for producing a complex and balanced passito wine. Careful winemaking preserves the unique character of Petit Manseng while enhancing its aromatic intensity through the natural concentration of the fruit. In the glass, it displays a brilliant golden-yellow colour. The bouquet reveals aromas of candied citrus fruits, apricot, exotic fruit and delicate honey notes. On the palate, it is rich and layered, yet remarkably fresh. The harmonious balance between sweetness and vibrant acidity gives the wine elegance, depth and a long, expressive finish.
