The Castelfeder Kerner IGT Lahn 2025 combines the alpine freshness of Alto Adige with the distinctive spicy character of this grape variety. The grapes come from selected vineyards in the southern part of Alto Adige at around 900 metres above sea level, where sandy soils rich in calcareous gravel provide ideal growing conditions. The cool mountain climate and significant temperature differences between day and night encourage intense aromatic development while preserving the grapes’ natural freshness. After careful hand harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed, fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and matured on the fine lees for six months, adding complexity and elegance to the wine. In the glass, the Kerner displays a bright straw-yellow colour with greenish reflections. Its bouquet is defined by fruity aromas of apple and banana, complemented by delicate hints of nutmeg. On the palate, it is juicy and harmonious with pleasant richness, well-balanced acidity and elegant freshness. The long, aromatic finish highlights the distinctive character of this expressive white wine.
