The Sauvignon DOC Exclusiv 2025 from Plonerhof winery comes from Marling near Merano in South Tyrol. The vines grow on slopes with gradients of around 30 to 40 percent and benefit from their exposure to the morning sun. The soils are characterised by granite, slate and gneiss, combined with sandy loam. In the vineyard, Plonerhof follows a nature-oriented approach and avoids the use of artificial fertilisers and herbicides.
For the Sauvignon Exclusiv, the winery relies on particularly careful vinification. Fermentation and ageing take place in temperature-controlled wooden barrels. This distinctive white wine makes an excellent refined aperitif and pairs especially well with asparagus, Mediterranean starters, white meat and fresh cheeses.
In the glass, the Sauvignon Exclusiv displays a bright straw-yellow colour. Its bouquet combines elderflower, citrus herbs and subtle spicy notes with hints of ripe grapefruit, citrus fruit and tropical fruit.
