The Pinot Blanc DOC 2024 from Bessererhof perfectly reflects the precise Alpine style of Alto Adige, elegantly showing why this grape variety is so highly regarded in the region. Especially around Fiè allo Sciliar, Pinot Blanc finds ideal conditions: cool, well-ventilated hillside vineyards, mineral-rich porphyry soils and significant temperature differences between day and night give the wine freshness, structure and clear fruit expression. The grapes are harvested from mid-September to early October, gently whole-cluster pressed and then fermented at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. Several months of ageing on the fine lees adds further body and a delicate creamy texture. In the glass, it shows a bright straw yellow with green reflections. On the nose, it reveals green apple, pear, citrus fruits and a delicate hint of mint. On the palate, it is fresh and structured, with lively acidity, clear minerality and a harmoniously creamy finish.
