Passito Elba Aleatico Siloso
The Silosò 2025 from Azienda Agricola Arrighi is an Elba Aleatico Passito DOCG from the island of Elba, made exclusively from Aleatico grapes. The vines grow on well-exposed, sunny and airy terraces. After being harvested by hand into small crates, the grapes are dried outdoors on racks for 12 to 14 days, following a traditional method that helps shape the wine’s natural passito style. Vinification then takes place in stainless steel, followed by four months of ageing in steel and a further three months in bottle. Silosò reflects the long winemaking tradition of the island of Elba, where Aleatico has been cultivated for generations. The combination of Mediterranean climate, terraced vineyards and gentle grape drying gives this sweet wine its distinctive character. In the glass, Silosò shows an intense red colour with violet reflections. The bouquet recalls cherry, dried fig and apricot, accompanied by floral, lightly herbal and mineral nuances. On the palate, it is soft, fruit-driven and balanced, with fine tannins and a long, aromatic finish.
