The Arzio Cuvée Riserva DOC Vigna Arzenhof 2022 is a distinctive red wine from South Tyrol and one of the flagship wines of the historic Baron di Pauli estate in Caldaro. This blend of Cabernet and Merlot comes from the historic Arzenhof single vineyard above Lake Caldaro, combining a powerful structure with remarkable elegance.

The vineyards lie at altitudes between 250 and 390 metres, facing southeast. The soils consist of limestone gravel, porphyry, quartz sand and clay, while the Mediterranean microclimate provides favourable conditions for the grapes to ripen. Following fermentation in wooden vats and a three-week maceration period, the wine matures for 18 months in barrique barrels. This careful winemaking process gives it depth, complexity and a harmonious structure.

In the glass, the Arzio displays a brilliant ruby-red colour. Its complex bouquet reveals aromas of blackcurrant and cranberry, complemented by delicate balsamic nuances and hints of coffee and eucalyptus. On the palate, it is powerful and concentrated, offering flavours of dark berries, spicy pepper notes and smooth, fine-grained tannins. An elegant, slightly mineral finish completes the tasting experience.
