The Brut Rosé Versé VSQ from Pitzner Estate is produced from Vernatsch grapes grown in Glaning at approximately 550 metres above sea level. The vines thrive on deep, sandy porphyry-derived soils that contribute freshness, elegance and a distinctive mineral character. The higher elevation allows the grapes to ripen slowly, preserving their natural acidity and aromatic finesse.
Following gentle whole-cluster pressing, the must is naturally clarified and fermented at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks. The wine then remains on its fine lees until February. A second fermentation in tank lasts for more than three weeks, creating a delicate and refined perlage. Bottling takes place in spring to preserve freshness and vibrancy.
In the glass, it displays a brilliant pale pink colour. The bouquet reveals delicate floral aromas complemented by notes of raspberry and subtle hints of sour cherry. On the palate, it is fresh and lively, supported by crisp acidity and elegant minerality. Juicy fruit flavours, a gentle saline touch and fine bubbles lead to a harmonious and persistent finish.
