The Pinot Grigio DOC Finell 2024 from Pitzner Estate originates from vineyards in Cardano at approximately 330 metres above sea level. The vines are planted in deep, sandy porphyry soils that contribute distinctive minerality and character to the wine. The combination of Alpine freshness and Mediterranean influences allows the grapes to ripen evenly while retaining their natural vibrancy and balance. Following manual harvest, the grapes are handled with great care. A short period of skin contact precedes temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged on its fine lees, while a small portion matures for several months in French barriques. This approach adds depth and structure while preserving the purity and elegance of the variety. In the glass, it displays a bright golden-yellow colour. The bouquet reveals aromas of apple blossom and ripe stone fruits, complemented by delicate herbal nuances and a hint of lemon balm. On the palate, it is fresh, balanced and mineral, supported by a subtle saline note that enhances its complexity. The finish is long, harmonious and remarkably elegant.
