Pinot Noir Riserva DOC Anrar
The Pinot Noir Riserva DOC Anrar 2023 by Andrian is part of the winery’s Selection range and comes from South Tyrol. The Pinot Noir grapes are grown at around 470 metres above sea level on reddish, clay-rich limestone soils interspersed with layers of white dolomite rock. Low yields contribute to concentration and form the basis of a structured Riserva with a clear sense of origin. Vinification follows a traditional red-wine approach in stainless steel tanks, with careful management of the must during fermentation. The wine then undergoes malolactic fermentation and matures in barriques.
This ageing process helps integrate the fruit, fine spice and supple tannin structure. Anrar also has good ageing potential and can continue to develop over several years. In the glass, it shows an intense ruby-red colour. The bouquet offers wild berries and cherries, accompanied by sweet spices, tea leaves and subtle smoky notes. On the palate, it is compact and well balanced, with lively acidity and fine-grained, soft tannins.
