The Pinot Noir DOC 2024 from Franz Haas is one of South Tyrol’s most respected expressions of this noble grape variety. The grapes are sourced from carefully selected vineyards located between 350 and 900 metres above sea level. Differences in altitude, soil composition and exposure create ideal conditions for producing a wine of remarkable elegance and complexity. Following meticulous harvesting, the wine is vinified with great care and matured for around twelve months in barriques, enhancing its balance, structure and refinement.
For decades, Franz Haas has been dedicated to Pinot Noir, a grape variety that demands precision and attention in both the vineyard and the cellar. The aim is to express the unique character of the vintage and the terroir while preserving the elegance and finesse that define South Tyrolean Pinot Noir.
In the glass, the wine displays a bright ruby-red colour. The bouquet reveals aromas of cherry and raspberry, complemented by subtle hints of marzipan, plum preserves and delicate spicy notes reminiscent of clove and cinnamon. On the palate, it is fresh, vibrant and well-balanced, with refined tannins, excellent harmony and a long, elegant finish.
