The Sauvignon DOC 2023 from Wassererhof is a characterful South Tyrolean white wine made from Sauvignon Blanc. The estate is located in Fiè allo Sciliar and combines careful vineyard work with a clear focus on quality and expression. Sauvignon is one of the winery’s distinctive white wines and highlights the fresh, lively character of the grape variety particularly well. Its precise and versatile style makes it an excellent partner for fish and seafood, vegetable dishes and flavourful cheeses. It also pairs beautifully with light starters and dishes featuring fresh herbs. The 2023 vintage was also awarded 90 points by Falstaff. In the glass, the wine shows a bright straw-yellow to pale yellow colour with greenish highlights. The nose combines fresh citrus notes with hints of elderflower, gooseberry and delicate floral nuances. On the palate, it is fresh and juicy, with well-integrated acidity, subtle spicy accents and a pleasantly persistent, clean finish.
