The Solaris IGT 2024 from Burgerhof Meßner originates from the Eisack Valley near Brixen in South Tyrol. The vineyards are situated at altitudes between 700 and 750 metres, on southeast-facing slopes with deep, sandy loam soils containing granite. The elevated location and nature-conscious cultivation contribute to the distinctive character of this white wine. Made entirely from Solaris, a grape variety with natural resistance to fungal diseases, this organically produced wine reflects the sustainable philosophy of the family-run estate. Johannes Meßner combines traditional winemaking expertise with experience gained in international wine regions, focusing on respect for nature and minimal intervention in the vineyards. In the glass, Solaris reveals an intense and multifaceted character. The bouquet offers aromas of ripe exotic fruits, complemented by delicate notes of melon and lemongrass. On the palate, the wine is light and fresh, with lively fruit flavours and an expressive, aromatic profile.
