Familia Torres

Familia Torres is one of Spain's most established and prestigious family-owned wineries. The family's roots in viticulture date back to 1559. In 1870, brothers Jaime and Miguel Torres founded the winery in Vilafranca del Penedès, Catalonia. Today, the company is managed by the fifth generation, combining centuries-old winemaking traditions with modern techniques and sustainable practices.

The vineyards extend across some of Spain's most important wine regions, including Penedès, Priorat, Conca de Barberà, Costers del Segre, Rioja and Ribera del Duero. Varying altitudes, the Mediterranean climate and diverse soils, including the characteristic slate soils of Priorat, shape the distinctive character of the wines.

Key grape varieties include Tempranillo, Garnacha, Cariñena, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Parellada. Familia Torres is also dedicated to rediscovering ancient, nearly forgotten grape varieties. Its portfolio ranges from fresh, elegant white wines to powerful, complex reds. Particular attention is given to grape origin, the preservation of historic vineyards and environmentally responsible vineyard management.
