The Pinot Noir Riserva DOC Sanct Valentin 2023 is one of the most prestigious red wines produced by St. Michael-Eppan Winery. The grapes originate exclusively from carefully selected mature vineyards around Eppan, situated at elevations between 400 and 550 metres above sea level. Calcareous moraine and gravel soils, combined with strict yield reduction, provide the foundation for a Pinot Noir of remarkable character and ageing potential. Following fermentation, the wine matures in barriques and tonneaux before spending an additional ten months in concrete tanks after blending. This meticulous ageing process enhances depth, structure and finesse. As a Riserva, it also meets the higher quality and maturation standards required by the appellation.

The Sanct Valentin range has represented the winery’s top selection for decades. Only exceptional grapes from the finest vineyard sites are chosen for these wines. The collection is renowned for its elegance, complexity and outstanding capacity for long-term ageing. In the glass, the wine displays an intense ruby-red colour. The bouquet reveals aromas of red berries, wild strawberries and violets, complemented by subtle hints of smoke and cinnamon. On the palate, it is refined, spicy and well-balanced, featuring fine-grained tannins, harmonious structure and a long, precise finish.
