South Tyrolean Überetsch
Goldmuskateller DOC from St. Pauls Winery is an aromatic white wine from the Überetsch area in South Tyrol. The vineyards are located in warm sites around the village of St. Pauls on deep sandy and clay-rich soils at elevations of about 250 to 350 metres above sea level. These conditions support good ripening of the grapes and allow the variety to fully develop its distinctive aromatic profile. After harvest, the grapes are carefully processed. Fermentation takes place slowly at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks, preserving freshness and varietal aromas. Goldmuskateller (Moscato Giallo) is one of the oldest known grape varieties and is especially valued for its pronounced aromatic character. In South Tyrol it produces fragrant and elegant wines with expressive aromas. In the glass the wine shows a pale straw-yellow colour. The nose reveals intense floral aromas along with notes of ripe fruit and delicate hints of spice. On the palate it is aromatic and balanced with pleasant fullness and a smooth, harmonious finish.
