Light ruby red with a clear and delicate appearance.

Delicate aromas of red berries and cherry with subtle floral notes.

Light and fresh with juicy fruit, soft structure and very gentle tannins.

Very suitable with South Tyrolean speck and Schüttelbrot, Schlutzkrapfen with spinach and ricotta or a traditional Alpine snack with cheese and farmhouse bread.

South Tyrolean Überetsch

Grauvernatsch DOC from St. Pauls Winery is a traditional red wine from South Tyrol made from the indigenous Grauvernatsch grape variety. The vineyards are located around the village of St. Pauls in the Überetsch area, on warm clay-rich soils at elevations of about 350 to 400 metres above sea level. These soils retain heat well and provide favourable conditions for the Schiava family of grapes, which have been cultivated in South Tyrol for centuries. After harvest, the grapes are gently processed and the must ferments at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks, helping preserve freshness and varietal character. The Grauvernatsch grape belongs to the Schiava family and is known for producing elegant and relatively light red wines. Wines from this variety typically show moderate acidity, soft tannins and excellent drinkability. In the glass the wine shows a light ruby-red colour. The bouquet reveals floral notes and aromas of red berries. On the palate it is fresh and balanced with delicate fruit, harmonious structure and a light, pleasantly smooth finish.
