Chardonnay DOC 2025 from Cantina Tramin comes from hillside vineyards situated between 250 and 500 metres above sea level. The vines grow on calcareous clay and gravelly clay soils and benefit from pronounced temperature differences between warm days and cool nights. The 2025 vintage was marked by a mild winter, early flowering and a variable summer. A hot June was followed by a cooler, rainy July and a very warm August, which significantly accelerated ripening. Careful hand harvesting allowed for precise selection of the grapes. After harvest, the Chardonnay grapes are pressed immediately. Maturation takes place in stainless-steel tanks, while a small portion of the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation. This approach preserves the wine’s freshness and characteristic varietal expression. In the glass, it shows a greenish-yellow colour. The delicately fruity bouquet combines notes of pineapple, banana, apple, pear and citrus fruit with nuances of caramel, vanilla and butter. On the palate, it is dry, lively, fresh and pleasantly fruit-driven.
