Le Volte dell’Ornellaia Toscana IGT Rosso 2024 is a Tuscan blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. It offers an accessible introduction to the world of Ornellaia, combining effortless drinkability with the high quality standards of the Bolgheri estate. The 2024 vintage was marked by an early start to the growing season, good water availability and a warm, sunny summer. Cooler periods and occasional rainfall during the harvest supported balanced ripening while preserving the freshness of the grapes. The grape varieties are fermented separately in small stainless-steel tanks to retain their individual character. Malolactic fermentation also takes place in steel. The wine then matures for ten months, partly in barriques previously used for Ornellaia and partly in tank. This combination brings fruit, structure and tannin into harmonious balance, giving the blend its versatile and elegant style. In the glass, it displays a bright purple-red colour. The bouquet recalls fresh cherries and wild strawberries, accompanied by delicate menthol notes. On the palate, the wine is juicy and complex, with firm structure, elegant finesse and balanced freshness.
