Bolgheri Superiore DOC
The Bolgheri Superiore from Dario di Vaira comes from the renowned wine region of Bolgheri along the Tuscan coast. This elegant red wine brings together three grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, creating a wine of depth, structure and complexity. Cabernet Sauvignon provides a powerful backbone, Merlot adds softness and richness, while Cabernet Franc contributes spicy nuances and aromatic finesse. The different grape varieties are initially vinified separately and aged in barriques. Following careful tasting, the selected lots are blended and undergo further ageing. This meticulous winemaking process produces a harmonious red wine that can be enjoyed in its youth while also offering the potential to develop over several years. In the glass, it displays a deep ruby-red colour. The bouquet combines dark fruit aromas with delicate balsamic and mineral nuances. On the palate, it is full-bodied and structured, yet elegant and complex. Pleasant freshness complements the intense aromatic profile, leading to a balanced and long-lasting finish.
